  1. Make sure that the "Remote Software Download" configuration settings is in its default value "Enabled" if not enable it from CWIS.

  2. Make sure that the Smart eSolutions is configured in device; Enrolled and is communicating with the Remote Server.

  3. Make sure that the XIM DMS Server is accessible.

  4. Make sure that the PSIP Control Manager server Accessible by device.

  5. Make sure that a valid SW Upgrade file Weblet file Clone file Reconfiguration files are uploaded in DMS Server.

PROCEDURE:

  


  1. Disabled Remote Software Download" configuration settings via Cwis->Properties ->General Setup ->Remote Service Setup->Remote Software Download.

  2. Select the valid Software upgrade /downgrade file from Control manager App and Publish it.

  3. Do a manual datapush by Cwis ->Properties ->Remote Services Setup -> Click " Synchronize Now" button.

  4. Verify that even though the device sync with the Smart eSolution Server the valid SW Upgrade/Downgrade file is NOT detected and downloaded from GRS and can be noticed this in device console OR can be checked in folder : /var/opt/nc/dlms/remoteServicesProxy/xrs/sdm/

  5. Download the auditlog via CWIS->Login as Admin->Select Properties->Security->Audit log->Click the Export option to save the log to your work station.

  6. Unzip the auditfile.zip file and verify the event:153 for Remote Services Software Download is not captured in the main auditfile.txt.

  7. Repeat steps 1-7 for a valid Weblet file.

  8. Repeat steps 1-7 for a valid Clone file.

  9. Repeat steps 1-7 for a valid Reconfiguration file.

OUTPUT:

Auditfile.txt file should not captured "Remote Services Software Download" event (Event : 153).
