1.The device is in DHCP mode. 2. DNS server should allow DNS update from DHCP/BOOTP server. 3. a Wireshark trace is turned on for sniffering the device. 4. Bootp server is available and ip address is assigned to the device based on the mac address of the device.
PROCEDURE:
1. From the device WEBUI, navigate to Properties->Connectivity->setup.
2. click on Edit button under "Wired Connection" to open "Wired Profile" page.
3. Click on Edit button under "IP(internet Protocol"
to open "IP (Internet Protocol)" page.
4. Under IPV4 page, modify the ip address mode from DHCP to BOOTP by selecting "BOOTP" under IP address resolution dropdown. enable broadcast flag and save the settings.
5. Verify that the device gets an ip address from BOOTP server and CWIS can be opened using IP address of the device in BOOTP mode.
6. Navigate to IPV4 page by following the steps from 1 to 4 above and verify the settings ip address resolution should have changed to "BOOTP"
7. From the wireshark, filter for BOOTP packets and verify the BOOTP flag shows as "Broadcast"
OUTPUT:
1. The user must be able to open the device WEBUI using ip address of the device in BOOTP mode.
2. From the device WEBUI ipv4 page, the device ip address resolution should have changed to BOOTP.
3. Wireshark trace BOOTP flag shows as "Broadcast"
