1.The device is in Bootp mode. 2. DNS server should allow DNS update from DHCP/BOOTP server. 3. a Wireshark trace is turned on for sniffering the device. 4. DHCP server is available.
PROCEDURE:
1. From the device LUI, login as admin
2. Navigate to tools->network settings->TCP/IP settings> dynamic addressing
3. change the IP address resolution from Bootp to DHCP.
4.Click on the Broadcast button and choose Broadcast
5. Save the change.
6. Verify that the device gets an ip address from DHCP server and device CWIS can be opened using IP address of the device in DHCP mode.
7. Navigate to IPV4 page by following the steps from 1 to 2 above and verify the settings ip address resolution should have changed to "DHCP"
8. From the wireshark trace, verify the "Bootp" flag shows as "Broadcast".
OUTPUT:
1. device get IP address through DHCP.
2. Navigate to tools->network settings->TCP/IP settings> dynamic addressing and verify IP address resolution mode must be changed to "DHCP"
3. trace shows that device sends DHCP discover broadcast request and bootp flag shows as Broadcast.
