The spec explains
A FIPS-enabled machine shall require no exception acknowledgement nor display the SMTP (Email / Internet Fax / Server Fax) FIPS exception IF:

1) SMTP is not configured. 
2) SMTP is configured, and login user credentials are set to authenticated user, and Kerberos Mode is set to       “always” use Kerberos ticket.
3) SMTP is configured, and login user credentials are set to none (ie. to not use any authentication).

a FIPS-enabled machine shall require an exception and display an SMTP (Email / Internet Fax / Server Fax) FIPS exception as appropriate IF:

- SMTP is configured, and login user credentials are set to System, or Prompt at user interface, or Authenticated user with Kerberos Mode not set to Never use Kerberos tickets

a FIPS-enabled machine shall require no exception acknowledgement nor display an SMTP (Fax Forward / Email Alert) FIPS exception IF:

- SMTP is configured, and login user credentials are set to none (ie. do not use any authentication).

a FIPS-enabled machine shall require an exception and display an SMTP (Fax Forward / Email Alerts) FIPS exception as appropriate IF:

- SMTP is configured, and login credentials are set to System.

PROCEDURE: <p>1.Device is UP and the CWIS of the device is accessible with device IP address 2. Login as SA 3.Go to Propeties-&amp;gt;Connectivity-&amp;gt;Protocol-&amp;gt;SMTP(E-mail). 4.Configure SMTP server and apply settings. 5.Acknowledge exception and confirm that it appears in the list of exceptions. 6.Go to Propeties-&amp;gt;Connectivity-&amp;gt;Protocol-&amp;gt;SNMP.</p>

OUTPUT: <p>1.CWIS SMTP page should be opened. 2.An exception is raised and requires acknowledgement. 3. Acknowledged exception should appear in the list of exceptions. 4. SMTP should be enabled and user can utilize it.</p>
