1.MFD is in wireless mode with DHCP enabled network.
2.MFD should be flashed with D3.6 or above builds.
3. WebUI must be accessible.
4. User should Logged in as SA.
5. Make sure DNS server is turned off.
PROCEDURE:1.Navigate to DNS page via device CWIS
2. Enter a correct Hostname and Domain name such that enter a hostname which is registered in the particular Domain.
3. Enter the Correct DNS address of the server under the"Additional DNS Server address" field.
4. Apply the settings, Saving the settings will reset the WebUI for a while. Once the device become available, Device will get verified Hostname or Domain name.
5.Enter a different hostname/domain name and Apply the settings, Saving the settings will reset the WebUI for a while. Once the device become available, Check whether the device gets verified Hostname or Domain name..
6. Wait for 20 mins and check the genarated Fault Code.
7. Wait for 20 mins.
8. Device should not get a verified Hostname or Domain Name.
9. In Device backchannel, enter the below command attach_cc
10. Select option 2 (App main menu)
11. Then type "z" and enter
12. Select option 12 (status manager menu)
13.Select option 1 (Display status list)
14.Check for status code 17-534-02 under display status list.
1. A Status message should display on the Device LUI, SR2 region stating "DNS Name Verification Error. The device failed to verifiy the Host Name and/or Domain Name in DNS. Contact your local System Administrator to check your network and/or device DNS settings."
2.Status Code 17-534-02 should be generated and listed under Display status list.
