1) MFD 1 with D2.9 build MFD 2 with latest D3.6 build or higher version.
2) Create and export Clone files from both devices.
D3.6 - Encrypted Clone file
D2.9 - Unencrypted Clone file
3) Go to CWIS > Properties > Security > Installation Policies > Cloning set "Both encrypted and unencrypted Clone files can be installed".
In MFD 2

CWIS:
1) 3) In CWIS > Properties > General Setup > File Management->Install Files -> Clone-> install the encrypted Clone file.
2) After the device comes up go to CWIS > Properties > Security > Audit log and download the Audit log.
3) Open the file using Notepad++ and check the Audit log.
4) Repeat Steps (1) through (3) for the unencrypted Clone file.

USB:
3) Insert the USB drive with the Cloning dlm files into the device.
4) In the USB Switchboard displayed in LUI choose 'Install File'. Select the encrypted Clone file and select 'Install'.
5) After the device comes up check the Audit log.
6) Repeat Steps (3) through (5) for the unencrypted Clone file.

lpr:
7) From Windows Command Prompt submit the encrypted Clone file using the lpr command "lpr -S %22Device IP%22 -P lp %22file path%22".
8) After the device comes up check the Audit log.
9) Repeat Step (7) and (8) for the unencrypted Clone file.
Port 9100:
10) Install the encrypted Clone file using CWW/XDM tool.
11) After the device comes up check the Audit log.
12) Repeat Step (10) and (11) for the unencrypted Clone file.
For all methods of Clone installation
Event 45 should be logged in Audit log for installing the Clone file. And the entry should have below details.
-Username
- Device name
- Device serial number
- Completion status
- Clone file installed - Success / Failed
Ex. "09/28/2016 16:19:06 45 Cloning xrx08003760b6d1 BAM122066 Clone file installed Success"
