  1. Make sure that the device is ready state with any D3.5 build.

  2. Make sure that the USB Drive has a INVALID DLM file in an "Altboot" Folder.

  3. Make sure that the front and rear ports are enabled.

  4. Make sure that some configuration settings involved in enhanced and device dependent settings are configured in device.

PROCEDURE:

  

  1. Wait till Clone to Self is created at mid night and Upgrade the device via Non-Forced Altboot.

  2. Observe that the upgrade has failed for first time.

  3. Allow the device to retry Software Upgrade process.

  4. Verify that the upgrade is successful and the configured settings are preserved.

  5. Repeat Step 2 - 4 for WEB UI and USB Manual Overlay upgrade methods (using Install File option).

OUTPUT:

If the Software upgrade fails for first time and succeeds for second time while performing any Customer upgrade, then the settings should be preserved.
