  1. Wireshark trace is installed on the linux PC.

  2. HTTP is enabled on the device.

  3. LPD is enabled on the device.

  4. IPSEC enabled on the device using ipv6 with key mode as manual, ipsec security as ESP, AES as encryption.

    Note: it is best to setup the device first, since once you change the LINUX engine you will no longer be able to communicate via HTTP to the machine through the internet.

PROCEDURE:

  

  1. Obtain the IP values from the multifunctional device’s configuration sheet.

  2. Obtain the LINUX IP values by running:
     ex: ifconfig eth0

  3. from the http://xww.docushare-xogpsg.world.xerox.com/dsweb/View/Collection-153925 link:
    download buildCases.tar onto your Unix machine

  4. untar it:
     ex: tar –xvf buildCases.tar

  5. change directory to the buildCases directory that was just created:
     ex: cd buildCases

  6. run mySetup
    a. ./mySetup <directory:required>
    ex: ./mySetup Blade
       The case files will be built and stored in the directory, Blade in the example.

  7. cd to the directory you built via mySetup, above.
    a. cd Blade

  8. logon with administrator privileges
    a. sudo bash

  9. Clear any old settings:
    a. setkey –f flush.txt

  10. Run the following commad to run the test
    setkey –f 05_Only_AES_IPv6

  11. From the linux Pc, submit lpd print job to the device and verify the print job is successful and ESP traces are listed in the trace after successful lpd print job.

  12. setkey –f flush.txt to clear the old settings.

OUTPUT:

  

  1. LPR job submitted from the server PC must be successful.

  2. From the wireshark trace, filter for ESP packets and the ESP packets must be listed
