  1. Wireshark trace is installed on the linux PC.

  2. HTTP is enabled on the device.

  3. SMTP configured on the device.

  4. IPSEC enabled on the device with key mode as manual, ESP as ipsec security and AES as encryption.

    Note: it is best to setup the device first, since once you change the LINUX engine you will no longer be able to communicate via HTTP to the machine through the internet.

PROCEDURE:

  

  1. Obtain the IP values from the multifunctional device’s configuration sheet.

  2. Obtain the LINUX IP values by running:
     ex: ifconfig eth0

  3. from the http://xww.docushare-xogpsg.world.xerox.com/dsweb/View/Collection-153925 link:
    download buildCases.tar onto your Unix machine

  4. untar it:
     ex: tar –xvf buildCases.tar

  5. change directory to the buildCases directory that was just created:
     ex: cd buildCases

  6. run mySetup
    a. ./mySetup <directory:required>
    ex: ./mySetup Blade
       The case files will be built and stored in the directory, Blade in the example.

  7. cd to the directory you built via mySetup, above.
    a. cd Blade

  8. logon with administrator privileges
    a. sudo bash

  9. Clear any old settings:
    a. setkey –f flush.txt

  10. Run the following commad to run the test
    setkey –f 10_Only_ESP_AES_IPv6

  11. Submit Email from the device and verify that the E-mail job is successful and ESP packets are listed after Email is successful sent.

  13. setkey –f flush.txt to clear the old settings.

OUTPUT:

Email transfer must completed successfully and ESP packets must list in the traces.
