1.MFD is in wired mode.
2.MFD should be flashed with D3.6 or above builds.

  3. WebUI must be accessible.

  4. User should Logged in as SA.
    5.Make sure the Device is in static mode.

PROCEDURE:

1.Navigate to DNS page via device CWIS

  2. Enter a bogus/wrong Hostname and Domain name such that enter a hostname which is not registered in the particular Domain.

  3. Enter the Correct DNS address of the server under the"Additional DNS Server address" field.

  4. Apply the settings, Saving the settings will reset the WebUI for a while. Once the device become available, Check whether the device gets verified Hostname or Domain name.

  5. Wait for 20 mins .
    6.Check for fault code 16-551-00 under fault history.

OUTPUT:

  

  1. Device should not get a verified Hostname or Domain Name.

  2. Fault code 16-551-00 should be generated and listed under fault history.
