MFD has wired/wireless network connection. 2. Bring the MFD to Install Wizard mode using the MITS tool. 3. Run the Install Wizard until a successful Intranet test i.e.; "Connected to network". 4. Open the Web UI of the MFD using the IP address displayed in the SR3 region. Go to Properties -- Security -- logs -- Network Troubleshooting; start a session. 5. Configure the below settings in few other MFDs which belong to the same network as the test MFD. i. Go to Web UI -- Properties -- General Setup -- Remote Services; configure a HTTP Proxy Server. ii. Go to Web UI -- Properties -- Connectivity -- Setup; disable WSD (Web Services on Device). PROCEDURE: 1. In "Auto Acquire Device Profile" screen; when the Internet test is active ("Connecting to Xerox"); wait until the device auto-discovers a proxy server address. 2. After the Internet test has failed; stop the Network Troubleshooting log session and download the log file from the Web UI. 3. Open the logs using the Wireshark application and check the following actions.   i. The device has called the XCLS server regardless of the presence of a proxy server; and has failed to connect.   ii. The device has tried to discover friendly machines on the network.   iii. No friendly machine has responded. 4. Confirm that the device does not get response from a friendly machine which has the WSD setting as disabled. 5. Check if the device continues with the normal operations and test sequences. OUTPUT: 1. The "Auto Acquire Device Profile" screen on the LUI shall display as "Connecting to Xerox" indicated by a spinning wheel. 5. The "Auto Acquire Device Profile" screen shall display as "Could not connect to Xerox" indicated by an Alert symbol. And the "Manually Connect" option should be displayed. 3. The logs should show the device trying to auto-discover a proxy server address to connect to the XCLS server. 4. The friendly machines which has the WSD setting disabled will not respond to this device. 5. The user should be able to complete the Install Wizard either by the manual entry of proxy server address or using the manual 'Device Profile Setup' screen.
