PROCEDURE:

  1. Login as “ADMIN” in CWIS
  2. Navigate to Properties--> Login/Permissions/Accounting--> User Permissions -->User Permission method -->Locally on the Device/ Remotely on the Network using LDAP / Remotely on the Network using SMB
  3. CWIS-->Properties --> Login/Permission/Accounting -->User Permissions.
  4. Select "User Permission Roles" from configuration settings.
  5. In “User Permission Roles” Select “Device Management” tab.
  6. Click on Add new role button and add a new role by giving the role name.
  7. Select "select Individual user" radio button under methods and click on Apply Button.
  8. Create R1 role and map the user1 and click on apply button.
  9. Navigate to Properties-->Image overwrite Security as "Allowed".
  10. Click on Apply Button.
  11. create one more role R2 and map to user2 and click on apply button.
  12. Navigate to Properties--> Image overwrite Security as "Not Allowed".
  13. Log out as "Admin" and login as "User1" in CWIS.
  14. Navigate to properties --> Security -->Image overwrite Security (Check expected result 1).
  15. Log out as "User1" and login as "User2" in CWIS.
  16. Navigate to properties -->Security -->Image overwrite Security (Check expected result 2).
OUTPUT:

  1. User1 should able to modify / change Image overwrite security(Immediate Job Overwrite and Disk Overwrite) settings.
  2. User2 should not able to modify / change Image overwrite security(Immediate Job Overwrite and Disk Overwrite) settings.
