TEST_TYPE: manual

INPUT: 1. Change the Workflow Scanning (Unspecified Defaults) TIFF orientation setting to 'Use TIFF Orientation Tag (Faster image processing, special image viewer may be needed)'. Note: Steps to do that are documented in the previous test case.
2. Obtain 2 TIFF viewers, one that understands tagging (e.g. Faststone Image Viewer 4.6) and one that does not (e.g. MS Office Document Imaging version 2007 or Microsoft Office Picture Manager 2006).

OUTPUT: When scanning tiff jobs using TIFF Orientation Tag, there will be a decrease in processing time. Jobs will not be rotated by the machine resulting in a faster image process.
Images viewed with a viewer that supports TIFF Orientation tag, will display correctly.
Other 'non-supporting' viewers will not, the image rotation may be incorrect.
Attribute 'RotateTIFFUsingTag' must be present in the Job Log (.XST) along with the corect value. In this case it shall read 'True' due to TIFF rotation feature being enabled.

SPEC_TAG: [46.020.006] (FT-14212) {DY 1.0} Table 6.05.01.01 1 Default image settings Requirements
[46.020.009] (FT-14212) {DY 1.0} Table 6.05.01.01 1 Factory Default Settings
[46.050.075] (FT-14502) {DY 2.1} The supported TIFF Rotation Method settings are the following:
•Rotate Scanned Image (disabled) - slower image processing, viewer independent
•Use TIFF Orientation Tag (enabled) - faster image processing, may be viewer dependent
[46.050.076] (FT-14502) {DY 2.1} If the TIFF Rotation Method is disabled then the TIFF Orientation Tag shall be set to 1; no rotation
[46.050.077] (FT-14502) {DY 2.1} If the TIFF Rotation Method is enabled then the TIFF Orientation Tag shall be set to a value that reflects the rotation required; see Supported TIFF Tags (section 5.3)
[46.050.078] (FT-14502) {DY 2.1} If the TIFF Rotation Method is enabled and the image is B&W then the TIFF Orientation Tag shall be set to 1; no rotation

SPEC_NUM:

PROCEDURE: With TIFF orientation settings changed to: 'Use TIFF Orientation Tag (Faster image processing, special image viewer may be needed)' go ahead and verify the functionality match its settings.
1. To verify the functionality, through LUI, go ahead and perform a Workflow scan job using the same Remotely Stored Template as in previous test case. Make sure to refresh the templates prior to submitting the job. Job Type: Scan a 1-page 8.5x11 size original via the DADH using LEF (long edge feed). Make sure to select TIFF file format if not already selected.
2. Log into the server and look at the output in both viewers (that understands tagging and that does not). Output may be incorrect (or with incorrect orientation) in viewer that does not interpret tags (e.g. MS Office Document Imaging version 2007 or Microsoft Office Picture Manager 2006). \
Note: in order for 'MS Office Picture Manager' to view successfully the scanned file, it may be necessery to change the Default Template's compression settings for TIFF Color Compression from 'TIFF Specification Supplement 2...' to 'TIFF 6.0 (old JPEG)'. To do so, navigate back to WebUI and change the Compression Settings for Workflow Scanning 'Default Template' under Compression Settings. Run the same job again and validate the outcome.
3. Perform the same test using the same original scanned via the DADH using SEF (short edge feed). Same outcome is expected.
4.Verify job log (.XST) files contain 'RotateTIFFUsingTag' attributes with correct values. In this case, value should read 'True.' Note: the entry is expected to be added to the Job Log at the end of the 'doc_object xrx_document' cluster.
