GROUP: FEATURE: SUB_FEATURE: INPUT:

 1. Ensure that all the necessary settings were done before enabling FIPS with Common Criteria (CC) compliance mode to avoid the exceptions.

  2. Make sure the FIPS with Common Criteria (CC) compliance mode is in "Disabled" state.

  3. Configure User permission as Open Access - Allow access to all device website pages (Open Access).

PROCEDURE:

  1. In EWS login as Guest user.

  2. Navigate to Properties -- Security -- Encryption-- FIPS140 - 3.

  3. Select "Enable FIPS with Common Criteria (CC) compliance" radio button and click on "Run Configuration Check and Apply" button

  4. Once the FIPS 140-3. Level 1 configuration check passed; click on "Reboot Machine" button

  5. Once the device came to ready state; go to Properties -- Security -- Logs -- Audit Logs

  6. Export the Audit Logs and validate the FIPS event contains the correct event ID; event description in below format.
     
    Audit Log -
    FIPS Mode Event ID = 68 UserName Device name Device serial number (Enabled/disabled/configured)

OUTPUT:

 3. A message will be displayed from webpage says "Any jobs that are currently being processed on this machine will be cancelled and any existing jobs within the input of this machine will be held. Are you sure you want to reboot the machine?"

  6. Audit Log should contain 2 events on enabling FIPS CC mode and below is the example;
