INPUT: 1. MFD should have latest firmware.
2. WebUI must be accessible.
3. User should Logged in as SA.
PROCEDURE: 1. From EWS navigate through Properties -- Security -- Encryption -- FIPS 140-3 page.
2. Enable FIPS+CC and run FIPS+CC configuration check.
3. Acknowledge all exceptions and reboot the MFD.
4. Once the MFD came to ready state navigate to Properties --
Apps -- Workflow Scanning -- Advanced -- Workflow Pool Management page.
5. Configure new Workflow Pool with SMB protocol and save the changes.
6. Check whether the MFD is raising an exception since SMB is a FIPS non compliant protocol.
7. Check whether MFD is requesting the user to Acknowledge the exception. If so; Acknowledge the exception.
8. Navigate back to FIPS 140-3 page and check whether the SMB exception is correctly showing under the summary of exceptions.
9. Check whether the SMB exception is grouped under SMB File Transmission (Workflow Scanning/ Scan to Home/ Server Fax/ Workflow Pool/ Fax Forward/ Scan To/ SMB Browsing).
OUTPUT:
1. (STEP 6) MFD should raise an FIPS+CC exception as below; since SMB is a FIPS non compliant protocol.
FIPS+CC Encryption Mode is Currently enabled
The feature makes use of encryption that is not FIPS+CC approved
Please select OK to acknowledge this exception and to enable this protocol/feature.
2. (STEP 8) Acknowledged SMB exception should be correctly displayed under the summary of exceptions with below details Exception Acknowledged ---Day of the Week-----Month-----Day-----Year-----Time.
3. (STEP 9) SMB FIPS+CC exceptions shall be grouped into below category when SMB configured for Workflow Pool
