1. Make sure the auditlog log and protocol log option should be enabled.
2. Make sure Scan to Email is configured in EWS and also SMTP Connection Encryption STARTTLS is on.
3. Make sure Login methods for Touch UI method should be set as "User Name / Password Validate on the Network"
4. LDAP should be configured in EWS .
5. FIPS should be either enabled or disabled via EWS--EWS-Properties--Security--Encryption--FIPS 140-2.
PROCEDURE:
1. On the WUI of the device Navigate to the Properties Tab--Services--Select Email setup and configure SMTP server manually and enter IP address port number and device email address properly.
2. At this page choose the Connection Encryption tab and Select the Radio Button STARTTLS and apply settings.
3. Configure POP3 server and enter valid IP address port number and enter valid login name password and save the settings.
4. Configure the LDAP servers in the device via EWS--EWS-Properties--Login/ Permissions/Accounting--Edit LDAP servers and enter the necessary information.
5. In LUI,as a guest user select the Email service-- add valid email recipients and run the job and confirm the job should be successful.
5. Download the auditlog via EWS--EWS-Properties--Security--Auditlog and extract the downloaded auditlog zip file.
7. Check the tls.txt file for the SMTP entries.
8. Follow the above step (1-4) to login with Network user in LUI and run email job and check the auditlog.
9. Follow the above step (1-3) and also Configure Smart card authentication in EWS and in LUI login using either alternate login/Swiping valid card reader and run the email job and check the auditlog log.
OUTPUT:tlsfile.txt should be captured the below SSMTP events
